The Signalman 2026

In 2026, Pleasure Dome Theatre celebrated 10 years of theatre-making at the Valley of Rocks and beyond and were delighted to return to the Valley in partnership with the Landmark Theatre with an orignal production of Charles Dickens' supernatural thriller The Signalman adapted by Jonathan Holloway and starring Gerald Dickens and Ben Fensome.
Directed by Scott Le Crass, this reimagining of the famous ghost story, with a combined ensemble of professional and community artists working as a Greek Chorus, was packed with original music and physical theatre. The show enjoyed a run at the Valley of Rocks before steaming across to venues in Somerset and Devon, including The Landmark, Knackershole Garden Theatre, and the Museum of Somerset, before finally pulling into Minehead Station platform in partnership with the West Somerset Railway.
Critical and audience feedback was glowing, describing the show as "innovative, "atmospheric," and "utterly captivating."
