Creative Director - Actor - Singer - Teacher - Consultant

Helena grew up between Exmoor and London. She read English at the University of Exeter before training as an actor at Drama Studio London.

​

As an actor she has played Titania in A Midsummer Night's Dream, Edmund "played with verve and brio," in LEAR, Gwendolen in The Importance of Being Earnest, Will Doone, and Gwenny in Lorna Doone, Lady Macbeth in Macbeth, and Lady Sims in The Twelve Pound Look with Pleasure Dome. Other work includes Sexism is Bad… at The Arcola, Top Girls at The Southbank Centre, Praxagora in The Assembly Women, Mrs Smith in The Bald Prima Donna at The Old Red Lion, Helena in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Guiderius in Cymbeline at the Cambridge Shakespeare Festival, The Blind/The Intruder at the Old Red Lion and its transfer to the Tabard, The Alchemist at the Riverhouse Studios, Viola in Twelfth Night and Margaret in Much Ado About Nothing at Petersfield Shakespeare Festival, and Like Enemies of the State at the Pleasance. She recorded audiobook All the Perverse Angels at Pinewood Studios.

She has toured with Heritage Opera as Mercedes in Carmen and other sung roles include Amneris in Aida, Cassandra in The Trojans, Mother in Amahl and the Night Visitors, Queen of the Fairies in Iolanthe, Alidoro in La Cenerentola, Annio in La Clemenza di Tito, Mrs Noye in Noye’s Fludde at St Paul’s Church, Covent Garden, and Mustardseed in Britten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream at The Minack Theatre where she was described as, “proving you really can do it all.” She regularly records at Abbey Road with London Cantamusica and is an experienced concert performer and recitalist. Recently she wrote LOUISA, the incredible true story of the Overland Launch which toured the South West in partnership with the RNLI with support from Arts Council England. She also wrote and performs ROSALIE which continues to tour in partnership with the National Trust and co-wrote an adaptation of A Christmas Carol for The Taunton Brewhouse. She is currently developing LOUISA for future touring and writing The Jeffreys Project, and SLEDGE.

Currently, she teaches in person at Wellington School. 

​

As a Creative Consultant, she has worked for a number of organisations including Walk the Plank most recently as part of Green Space Dark Skies for Unboxed 2022.
